A range of entertainment, including Eid gift giving, will be available during the event. Children and parents alike will have the opportunity to enjoy performances by various artists, as well as engage in sports and other recreational activities. The main goal of the “Eid Haveeru” is to bring together Maldivian families to celebrate Eid and revive the social spirit of the occasion, with a particular focus on bringing joy to the children.
As has been the tradition for many years, the event will help foster the customs of meeting, greeting, entertaining, and exchanging gifts that are central to Eid celebrations. The event will run from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm on Eid al-Fitr, with families able to enter from Sultan Park to Republic Square.
