Floods Ravage Fuvahmulah City, Impacting 15 Houses

Fuvahmulah City is grappling with the aftermath of heavy rains, as the National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) confirms flooding in several neighbourhoods. 

The NDMA is actively evaluating the extent of the damage inflicted on residential properties.

As a result of the relentless downpours, reports indicate that 15 houses have succumbed to flooding. Authorities from the local council are working to pinpoint the affected residences and ascertain the full scale of the impact. It is anticipated that the count of damaged houses may rise as assessments continue.

Efforts to mitigate the situation are underway, with the Maldives National Defence Force (MNDF) providing crucial assistance in draining the flooded areas.
