Foreign Minister Embarks on Official Visit to UAE

Minister of Foreign Affairs Dr. Abdulla Khaleel departed for an official trip to United Arab Emirates (UAE) yesterday.
Dr. Khaleel’s trip to UAE is at the invitation of UAE Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister, HH Sheikh Abdulla bin Zayed Al Nahyan.
Upon his arrival in Abu Dhabi, Dr Khaleel expressed anticipation for productive engagements with Sheikh Abdulla and the UAE leadership. In a post on X (formerly Twitter), he noted the focus would be on strengthening shared commitments to economic growth and development cooperation.
According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the two ministers will engage in high-level discussions to enhance bilateral relations, review bilateral cooperation, and explore avenues for future cooperation between the two nations.
During his visit, Dr Khaleel is also scheduled to meet with other senior UAE officials to discuss initiatives aimed at fostering partnerships and advancing mutual interests between the two nations.
The ministry described the visit as a testament to the enduring relationship between the Maldives and the UAE. It further highlighted the shared aspirations of both countries to promote development, innovation, and prosperity.
