The primary objective of the policy is to extend support to staff members in managing psychological stress within the workplace environment.
The core tenets of the policy are designed to serve a dual purpose: to aid employees in effectively dealing with mental health hurdles that may arise during their work tenure, and to establish a framework that fosters and nurtures mental well-being among the staff.
Central to the policy’s objectives is the provision of assistance to personnel facing mental health challenges during their employment. To achieve this, the policy outlines a series of strategic actions:
Firstly, the Authority aims to familiarise its staff with a range of stress management techniques, empowering them with the skills to navigate and mitigate workplace stressors. Moreover, employees will be introduced to effective coping mechanisms that can equip them to handle the pressures associated with their roles more adeptly.
Recognising the value of professional guidance, the policy also facilitates access to counseling services through a third-party provider. This avenue will allow staff members to seek confidential support from trained professionals who specialise in mental health matters.
To proactively address the issue, the Authority has planned to conduct regular sessions focused on enhancing mental well-being. These sessions will provide a platform for open discussions, allowing employees to share their experiences and learn from one another’s perspectives.
The policy also emphasises skill development as a means of boosting staff resilience. To this end, the Authority is committed to offering training opportunities that will help employees expand their capabilities and expertise.
Furthermore, in a bid to promote a healthier work routine, the policy allocates dedicated time for daily stretching exercises within the office environment.
Through a multifaceted approach encompassing stress management techniques, counseling provisions, knowledge-sharing sessions, skill enhancement opportunities, and physical well-being initiatives, the policy is expected to make a positive impact on the lives of its employees.
