Gov’t Announces Sale of Land for Industrial Development in Hulhumale’ Phase 2

The government has announced the sale of land designated for industrial purposes in Hulhumale’ Phase 2 through a bidding process. 

The available plots range in size from 3,689 to 3,746 square feet. According to the Housing Development Corporation (HDC), these plots are located within the area earmarked for the development of the “Integrated Hub” in Hulhumale’ Phase 2.

Maldivians aged 18 and over are eligible to submit bids. Additionally, companies wishing to participate in the bidding must be registered in the Maldives and wholly owned by Maldivian nationals.

The opening bid for the land is set at MVR 7,500 per square foot. Interested parties can submit their applications via HDC’s online portal.

The sale process will occur in two phases: first, the submission of an Expression of Interest (EOI), followed by a bidding round if multiple EOIs are received for the same plot.
