Symptoms associated with Brain Eating Amoeba Infection include headaches, fever, nausea, vomiting, neck stiffness, confusion, and seizures. The Consulate General strongly advises individuals experiencing any of these symptoms to seek immediate medical attention.

Given that the infection is contracted through the intake of contaminated water via the nose or ears, the Consulate General has discouraged swimming in lakes and other freshwater bodies during this period.

Moreover, they caution that swimming pools may also pose a risk of infection, recommending the use of ear buds or nose clips as a precautionary measure against water ingestion.
