The Ministry of Construction and Infrastructure has introduced new regulations requiring a quality permit for the import and manufacture of specific building materials used in construction projects.

This move is part of an effort to ensure the quality of materials being utilised in the sector. Under the new regulations, several key materials will now require quality permits from the ministry. These include:

  • Aggregate (all grades used to make concrete)

In addition to securing permits, companies involved in the import or manufacturing of these materials must register with the ministry.
