Gov’t to Build 100 Housing Units in ADh. Mahibadhoo

President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu has announced plans to build 100 housing units in ADh. Mahibadhoo next year. 

During his visit to Mahibadhoo as part of his Ari Atoll South tour, he confirmed that construction would begin on available land under the approved housing budget. He also assured residents that the reclamation and development of Maafaru Lagoon, which falls under Mahibadhoo’s jurisdiction, will align with the residents’ wishes.

In his address, he highlighted the wider regional benefits of developing Mahibadhoo as an urban centre, emphasising that the Maafaru lagoon development would exemplify genuine urban development.

Looking ahead, Muizzu pledged to address residents’ concerns over the next four years, focusing on infrastructure improvements and community-driven progress that meets the local’s needs.
