The Ministry of Housing, Land and Urban Development is set to hold a draw for the allocation of land plots under the Binveriyaa Scheme on Tuesday, 29th October 2024.
The event will take place at Dharubaaruge Rannabandeyri Maalan, commencing at 9 AM.
This draw is open to all individuals who have been allocated land in Gulheefalhu. Recipients may participate in person, or appoint representatives to attend on their behalf. To do so, representatives must present a letter of no objection from the landlord, along with a copy of the landlord’s identification.
The Ministry has announced that the draw will be broadcast live on Public Media, with real-time updates also available on the Hiyaavahi portal.
The allocation process will involve seven different pots corresponding to various land sizes: 1250 sqft, 1650 sqft, 2050 sqft, 2450 sqft, 2850 sqft, 3250 sqft, and 3650 sqft. Draws will proceed sequentially based on the list of awardees published by the Ministry. Each pot will have a list organised according to the form numbers of each category.
During the draw, officials from the Ministry will announce the name and identification number of each recipient. A draw containing a barcode will then be selected, which, when scanned, will indicate the specific land plot assigned to the individual. Recipients will receive immediate SMS notifications, and details will be updated on the Hiyaavahi portal.
The ministry said that the Hiyaavahi portal has also been updated to include the approved Land Use Plan and the land plot allocation plan for Gulhifalhu.
