Gov’t to Provide Free Medical Check-up for Senior Citizens This Saturday

The government has announced a free medical check-up for senior citizens at the Israhvehinge Naadhee, the senior citizens’ centre, this Saturday. The event will take place on 26 October from 2:00 PM to 5:30 PM, offering a range of health screenings and services tailored specifically for those aged 55 and above.

The health check-up will include vital tests such as Body Mass Index (BMI), blood pressure, Glucose Random Blood Sugar (GRBS), and an eye test. Participants will also undergo a thorough physical and mental health assessment.

In addition to these standard screenings, cancer screenings will also be available. Senior citizens will have the opportunity to register for breast cancer and cervical cancer screenings, as well as receive an oral cancer screening. Information on physical injuries, along with the option to screen for them, will also be provided.

Alongside these health services, attendees will receive information on various health matters, and doctors’ appointments will be arranged as needed.
