Employers with foreign employees stationed in Gulhifalhu and Thilafushi, as well as those in Male, Vilimale, and Hulhumale Phase 1 and Phase 2, must provide photographs and fingerprints of their foreign employees.

The government launched Operation Kurangi last May to address and regulate the country’s undocumented immigrant population. The biometric data of migrant employees is updated at the joint offices of the National Centre for Information Technology (NCIT), which is open from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. Saturday through Thursday.

The ministry requested employers to contact them via 7690228 or operation.kurangi@mohst.gov.mv for more information.
