To commence the initiative, ministry officials visited the city and held discussions with the Kulhudhuffushi City Council to outline the programme’s implementation. The discussions focused on strategies for home visits to identify vulnerable individuals and families and explore ways to collaboratively improve their living conditions.
The Ministry emphasised that the programme’s success relies on the active involvement of the city council and the Women’s Development Committee to ensure efficient coordination and targeted support.
The ‘Haalu Kihineh?’ programme has already been conducted in Malé City, Haa Alif, Haa Dhaalu, Noonu, Raa, Baa, Lhaviyani, Faafu, Dhaalu, Thaa, Laamu, Gaafu Alif, Fuvahmulah City, and Addu City.
