Health Ministry Opens Applications for National Food Safety and Quality Board

The Health Ministry has announced the opening of applications for membership on the newly established National Food Safety and Quality Board.

According to the ministry’s announcement today, the term for board members will be five years. The primary responsibilities of the board include advising and providing technical support to the Health Ministry on matters concerning the safety, quality, and nutritional value of food products. Additionally, board members will offer guidance on challenges related to the enforcement of food safety regulations.

The ministry specified that candidates with vested interests in the food and beverage industry will be disqualified from consideration.

Interested applicants are invited to submit their applications, along with any relevant documents, via email to legal@health.gov.mv by 1:00 pm on October 10.
