In a circular released, the hospital announced the closure of the flu clinic that was specifically set up to treat returning Hajj pilgrims. The decision to shut down the clinic comes in light of a reduced number of visitors.

Despite the clinic’s closure, IGMH emphasised the importance of continuing to wear masks to mitigate the spread of flu and other respiratory illnesses within the hospital.

The Health Protection Agency (HPA) has also advised pilgrims to take precautionary measures upon their return from the Hajj pilgrimage.

In a social media statement, the agency recommended that individuals experiencing common colds or viral fevers should use home remedies and consult healthcare professionals promptly.
