MACL and Ministry Wrap Up Internship for Persons with Disabilities

The Ministry of Social and Family Development, in partnership with Maldives Airports Company Limited (MACL), has concluded a six-month internship programme at Velana International Airport for persons with disabilities, resulting in one participant securing permanent employment.
The programme, initiated under a Memorandum of Understanding signed on 9 June 2024, provided four individuals with disabilities the opportunity to gain practical work experience at the MACL office.

The closing ceremony, held yesterday, featured remarks by Ahmed Athif, Minister of State for Social and Family Development, and Mohamed Lam’aan, Deputy Managing Director of MACL, who emphasised the importance of fostering workforce inclusion.
