Maldives and Tajikistan Sign a Visa Exemption Agreement
Today, the Maldives and Tajikistan signed the Agreement on Mutual Exemption of Visa Requirements, formalising the exemption of visa requirements for both countries’ nationals for 30 days.

The bilateral agreement was signed on behalf of the Government of Maldives by Dr Ali Naseer Mohamed, Permanent Representative of the Republic of Maldives to the United Nations, and on behalf of the Government of Tajikistan by Hikmat Jonibek Ismoil, Permanent Representative of the Republic of Tajikistan to the United Nations. The signing ceremony was held in New York at the Permanent Mission of Tajikistan.
The signing of the bilateral visa exemption agreement formalises the existing unilateral visa-free regimes of both countries.
