Male’ City Council Seeks Contractor for Galolhu City Park Development

Male’ City Council has announced that it is seeking a contractor to carry out development work at Galolhu City Park, aiming to accommodate entertainment and sports activities.
The City Park was closed for renovation in 2022. Although the Council had initially planned to develop the area, no work has been undertaken since its closure.

In an announcement, the Council stated that it is inviting contractors to undertake phase two of the park’s development. Interested parties are required to submit applications before 9am on 8 May.
According to current plans, the Sports Area of the park will feature a badminton court and a three-on-three basketball court. The ground level of the Sports Arena will offer parking space for 102 motorcycles and will include two commercial units.
The Council also plans to install embedded lighting along the wall of the park facing the dark lane between the park and Salahudheen Mosque. This measure is intended to enhance security by providing adequate lighting for the area.
