Maniu Resigns from State Minister Position at Homeland Ministry 

Yoosuf Maniu Mohamed has stepped down from his role as State Minister at the Ministry of Homeland Security and Technology. 

His resignation comes shortly after his appointment on Monday, following his removal from the position of Commissioner General at Maldives Customs Service.

Despite being transferred to the Homeland Security Ministry, it has been reported that Mohamed did not commence his duties there. Ali Ihusan, Minister of Homeland Security and Technology, confirmed to Mihaaru News that Mohamed had notified the ministry of his resignation yesterday. The reasons for his resignation remain undisclosed.

In the wake of Mohamed’s dismissal, Fathimath Dhiyana has been appointed as the new Commissioner General at Maldives Customs Service. Mohamed previously served as the President of the National Integrity Commission during the administration of former President Abdulla Yameen.
