Manta Trust Open 3-Month Scholarship Under RahVeshi Programme

The Maldives Manta Conservation Programme and Manta Trust are accepting applications for their Rahveshi Programme Scholarship, which provides scholars with certifications for diving and marine biology.

The scholarship offers successful applicants the opportunity to undertake the PADI Divemaster course, accommodating both individuals without prior diving experience and those already experienced in diving.

Participants in the programme will be actively involved in conservation efforts led by the Maldives Manta Conservation Project (MMCP), gaining hands-on experience in marine biology and outreach activities. As part of the scholarship requirements, scholars will also complete a Level 3 Certificate course in marine biology through remote learning.

The programme is scheduled to run from 19th August to 17th November, requiring scholars to be based in Hulhumale or Villingili throughout the duration. To support their commitment, scholars will receive a monthly stipend of USD 250. Interested candidates are encouraged to submit their applications, including a resume and cover letter, to mmcp.careers@mantatrust.org by 10th July.
