MET Office Issues Yellow Alert to Southern Atolls

The Maldives Meteorological Service (MMS) has issued a yellow alert for the region spanning from Thaa atoll to Addu.

This alert is in effect from 16:30 hours to 20:30 hours, today. The forecast warns of heavy rain and thunderstorms.

Residents and visitors in the affected areas are advised by the MMS to remain vigilant and implement appropriate safety measures.

MMS categorises weather alerts as follows:
