Ministry and Kanduhulhudhoo Council Holds Talks on Crime Reduction Programme

The Ministry of Homeland Security and Technology engaged in discussions with the Kanduhulhudhoo Council regarding island-level law enforcement and crime reduction initiatives.

Central to the discussions was the mutual commitment to fostering a safe and secure environment within the island community. The council expressed its readiness to take proactive measures in combating drug-related issues and extending assistance to individuals in need.

Additionally, both parties underscored the importance of raising awareness among residents to enhance their protection and vigilance against potential threats.

The meeting, convened at the Ministry last Thursday, saw the participation of the President of the Kanduhulhudhoo Council, alongside State Minister Lubna Zahir, Deputy Minister Al-Ustaz Hassan Ali, and Senior Political Director Mustafa Hussain.

Emphasiing the significance of collaboration with island councils in ensuring safety and security, the ministry highlighted the importance of addressing societal concerns through concerted efforts.
