The Ministry of Social and Family Development has opened the opportunity for the public to temporarily foster children in state custody.
Launched last December, the initiative was introduced to provide a family environment for children in state custody. At the inception of the program, there were 164 children under state care.
The Ministry highlighted that the opportunity to temporarily foster children in state care is now available. Those interested in participating are encouraged to get in touch with the ministry through the 1433 hotline and provide their details.
The “A Family for Every Child” program seeks to create suitable matches between children in state custody and families willing to offer either long-term or permanent care.
Individuals opting for temporary fostering commitments will be entrusted with the well-being of the child for a period of two years.
