This initiative is the result of discussions held with the Pakistan Embassy. During their visit, the participants are scheduled to meet with senior officials from Pakistan’s Ministry of Information and Broadcasting and visit significant sites.

The MMC noted that in May, they met with Pakistan’s Ambassador to the Maldives, Retired Vice Admiral Mohamed Fayyaz Gilani, to explore collaborative opportunities for training Maldivian journalists through various programmes and scholarships.

As part of the ongoing visit, the MMC will sign a memorandum of understanding with Pakistan’s Ministry of Information and Broadcasting.
