Muizzu Appoints Moomina as New VP of HRCM

President Dr Mohamed Muizzu appointed Moonima Waheed as Vice President of the Human Rights Commission of Maldives yesterday.

The President’s Office said Moomina was appointed to this position per Article 8 of the Human Rights Commission Act (Law No. 6/2006).

Moomina earned her Master’s in Human Rights and Democratization Asia Pacific from the University of Sydney, Australia. Prior to this appointment, she served on the Human Rights Commission.
