Muizzu Appoints Two Members for ECM and ACC

President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu appointed two members to the Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC), and to the Elections Commission of Maldives (ECM) today.
The President appointed Ahmed Nashid and Abdulla Nashid to the ACC in ceremonies held in the president’s office. Ahmed Nashid previously served as a member of the Police Board and was a former Assistant Commissioner of Police. Abdulla Nashid holds a Master of Education (School Management) from the Regional Institute of Education of India and has also managed various departments of Aasandha Company.
On the occasion, the President handed over the letter of appointment to the ACC.
Muizzu also appointed Mohamed Zahid and Abdul Rahman Salah Rasheed to the ECM today. The members of ECM had to be appointed because the parliament had dismissed two of its former members.
Supreme Court Justice Hon Uz Mahaz Ali Zahir administered the oath into office to the newly appointed members of both commissions.
