Muizzu Declares February 6 as Gov’t Holiday

President Dr Mohamed Muizzu has declared February 6, 2025, as a Government holiday today.
The President’s Office said this declaration was made in accordance with article 84 of the Constitution of the Republic of Maldives to the day when the President delivers the annual Presidential Address to the Parliament.
The directive states that Thursday, February 6, 2025, when the President will deliver this year’s Presidential Address to the People’s Majlis, will be observed as a Government holiday.
In connection with this declaration, Presidential Directive No. 1/2024 (January 18, 2024) issued by the President’s Office has been revoked.
