Muizzu Directs 24-Hour Display of National Flag at Gov’t Institutions

President Dr Mohamed Muizzu has mandated the continuous hoisting of the national flag at all government institutions, effective from yesterday. 

Traditionally, the national flag was raised from 6 am to 6 pm daily.

This decision, articulated in President Dr Muizzu’s inaugural address delivered upon assuming office, underscores the commitment to a continuous display of our cherished national flag. 

He emphasised that the sun will now never set on this esteemed symbol, which will proudly flutter in every island of the Maldives.
