Muizzu Dismisses Rumors of Land Transfer from ‘Gedhoruveriya’ to Rasmale’ Project

President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu refuted speculations regarding the transfer of land allocated under the ‘Gedhoruveriya’ scheme to the Rasmale’ project during a speech at the ‘Feshun’ rally organised by PPM/PNC in Dharubaaruge.

Addressing the crowd, President Dr. Muizzu clarified that the government has no intentions of reclaiming land allocated under the ‘Gedhoruveriya’ scheme, dismissing rumours that have been circulating. He acknowledged the efforts of the previous government but noted that the people voted for a change due to perceived shortcomings.

During his rally speech, Muizzu highlighted that some individuals in the Usfasgandu area were protesting based on false information propagated by the MDP. He emphasised the transparency of the current administration’s policies and pledged to adhere to his promises.

The President concluded by affirming that the government remains steadfast in its commitment to the ‘Gedhoruveriya’ scheme and assured the public that there were no plans to alter the allocation of land to the Rasmale’ project.
