The Department of National Registration (DNR) has launched National Identity Card printing services in Gadhdhoo, located in Gaafu Dhaalu Atoll.
ID card printing services are now available at Gdh. Gadhoo Council, making it our 15th location outside Malé City. Previously, ID cards were printed in Malé and sent to the island, but now Gadhoo residents can print their ID cards within the island pic.twitter.com/nOs0Vksv1R

This development follows the government’s introduction of ID card printing services in Villingili, Gaafu Alifu Atoll, in September last year. That move marked the first time the service was established outside the capital, Malé. The ongoing initiative aims to extend ID card printing capabilities to every atoll across the country.
With the launch in Gadhdhoo, the service is now available at the island’s council office. It becomes the fifteenth location outside Malé City to offer this facility. Previously, identity cards were printed in Malé and sent to outlying islands. The new service enables residents of Gadhdhoo to obtain their ID cards without leaving the island.
