The Bar Council of Maldives has seen a shift in its leadership following an online vote held yesterday to elect a new member for the executive elections committee.
The election, conducted via the ‘Green Vote’ platform, removed the Attorney General from the Executive Committee, with Al-Ustaz Abdul Salam Arif elected as the new member.
Out of 995 registered lawyers, 248 participated in the election, with Abdul Salam Arif securing the majority of votes. His election marks a notable change in the composition of the Bar Council’s Executive Committee.
The official results confirm Abdul Salam Arif’s new position, signalling ongoing developments in the governance structure of the Bar Council.
