NSPA Cancels Agreement with Maldives Media House Over Office Rental

The National Social Protection Agency (NSPA) announced the cancellation of its agreement with Maldives Media House regarding the rental of a building for its office construction.

In a statement yesterday, the NSPA stated that the decision followed allegations raised by multiple parties against Maldives Media House. The agency consulted with the Ministry of Finance before concluding to terminate the agreement and is now in the process of completing the necessary procedures under the Ministry’s guidance.

Maldives Media House operates MM TV, a launched television channel with connections to President Mohamed Muizzu. The channel is managed by senior officials from the President’s Office’s communications department.
