Official Presidential Election Results to be Announced Tomorrow Night

The official results of the presidential election in the Maldives are set to be unveiled tomorrow night, as confirmed by Ismail Habeeb, the Vice Chairman of the Election Commission of the Maldives (ECM).

The announcement is scheduled for 8:30 p.m. and will take place at the designated election center, Dharubaaruge.
As it stands, both provisional and overall results of the election have already been made public. Dr. Mohamed Muizzu, the Presidential candidate, emerged as the winner with 54.04 percent of the vote, while President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih garnered 45.96 percent of the votes cast.
International election observers from Maldives and abroad have noted the transparent and peaceful nature of this presidential election in the Maldives. ECM has received a limited number of complaints; however, none of them are deemed substantial enough to potentially impact the final outcome of the election.
