Ooredoo Donates MVR 16 Million in Medical Equipment to Boost Air Ambulance Services
Ooredoo Maldives has donated specialised medical equipment valued at MVR 16 million to strengthen the capabilities of the national Air Ambulance service, reaffirming its commitment to enhancing healthcare in the Maldives.
This initiative is part of Ooredoo’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) program, with healthcare being one of its core pillars.
The Air Ambulance service, which launched on March 1, 2024, with the support of Ooredoo Maldives, has already proven to be a vital lifeline for those in urgent need of medical assistance. The initial batch of essential equipment, provided by Ooredoo in March, was crucial in enabling the successful launch of this life-saving service. Since its inception, the Air Ambulance has handled 436 cases, transporting 517 patients to the care they urgently required.
Building on the success of the service, Ooredoo Maldives is now providing additional equipment to further enhance the Air Ambulance’s life-saving capabilities. This new batch of specialized equipment is designed to improve patient care and expand the service’s capacity to respond effectively to medical emergencies across the Maldives.
The Air Ambulance service, equipped with state-of-the-art medical devices, has been instrumental in providing timely interventions and emergency care to patients in critical conditions. With this additional equipment, the service is set to enhance its operations, bringing hope and life-saving care to even more individuals in need.
