PCB Dismisses Several Board Members
The Privatisation and Corporatisation Board (PCB) has announced the dismissal of several board members across ten state-owned enterprises (SOEs).
At the Housing Development and Finance Corporation (HDFC), board members Mohamed Rasheed and Hamid Sodiq have been removed, and Zidna Ibrahim has been appointed their replacement.
Maldives Post has also undergone changes, with Chairperson Mohamed Abdulla and board member Mohamed Nasheed dismissed. Hawwa Safna has been appointed to the board.

The Addu International Airport Company saw the removal of three board members: Hussain Mohamed Didi, Shathif Ali, and Shazra Shakir.
At Business Centre Corporation (BCC), Lamya Ibrahim and Ahmed Ifthihaar have been dismissed. Similarly, Najeel Ahmed has been removed from the board of Fahi Dhiriulhun Corporation.
Ali Nazeer has been removed from the Police Welfare Corporation board, while Shuhudha Ibrahim has been dismissed from the SME Development Finance Corporation (SDFC) board. Nahiya Mohamed has also been dismissed from the Trade Net Maldives Corporation board.
The Waste Management Corporation has seen the removal of three board members: Ali Nabeel, Musthafa Mohamed, and Ali Ikram.
Lastly, Fenaka Corporation Chairperson Ahmed Shaheer, along with board members Ibrahim Naif and Ahmed Eehab, have been dismissed.
The PCB has yet to provide reasons for these dismissals.
