Police Begin Towing Unregistered Vehicles in Hulhumalé

The Maldives Police Service (MPS) has initiated towing unregistered vehicles that have been parked on the streets of Hulhumalé for extended periods.

According to a statement on the MPS website, the Hulhumalé Traffic Police Department began the operation last night, resulting in the towing of 10 vehicles so far.

The police emphasised that this initiative will continue, with unregistered vehicles being towed in the future as well. They stated that parked vehicles would be regularly checked to ensure compliance with registration laws and regulations.

To enhance street safety, the police also announced measures to identify and take action against vehicles being driven with false registrations, holding those responsible accountable.
