Police Investigate After Woman Found Unconscious in Vinares Flat

A 21-year-old woman was found unconscious this morning inside a Vinares Flat apartment in Hulhumalé Phase 2, following a call to the Maldives Police Service (MPS) around 06:05.

According to police, they received a report from the woman’s family members, who were inside the apartment at the time, stating that they had heard her crying from the bedroom. Officers arrived at the scene shortly after and attempted to open the room door, which was locked. Upon forcing entry, they found her lying on the floor unconscious.

The woman was rushed to the hospital, where she is currently receiving treatment. Police have confirmed that an investigation into the incident is underway.
