Police Warns Against Scammer “Huda Heefam” Posing as Forex Expert

Maldives Police Service (MPS) has issued a warning regarding a scammer posing as a Forex expert, operating under the alias “Huda Heefam” on social media platforms. The police, via a Twitter announcement today, have urged the public to exercise caution.

Scam artists such as “Huda”, employ photos of unsuspecting individuals, creating an illusion of authenticity for their profiles. The individuals whose images are exploited typically remain unaware of this misuse.

Predominantly active on platforms like Instagram and Facebook, these profiles depict the operator as a skilled forex trading account manager. Potential victims are lured with promises of substantial returns on minimal investments.

The scam artist fabricates transaction records and conversation histories, even referencing fake testimonials from purportedly pleased clients.

Due to the general public’s unfamiliarity with these ploys, some individuals end up entrusting their funds to these scammers, only to discover later that both the scam artist and their funds have disappeared.
