In his statement, Solih emphasised the sacred responsibility of the entire Islamic Ummah to collectively work towards alleviating the suffering of oppressed Muslims globally. He stressed that for such an effort to be successful, Muslim communities must strengthen their fraternal ties, bridge divisions, and stand united as a single Ummah.

Solih further highlighted that enduring faith has been a strong foundation for the Maldivian people to unite and build our nation since embracing Islam. He underscored the importance of instilling Islamic principles and nationalistic values in younger generations to foster peace and harmony among Maldivians, values that are highly esteemed in Islam.

Solih underscored the importance of individual and collective efforts to embed social and moral values advocated by Islam, attributing it as a crucial element to celebrating the day the Maldives embraced Islam.

The Maldives commemorates the day we embraced Islam annually on the 2nd of Rabiʽ al-Akhir as per the Islamic Calendar.
