Held in collaboration with the Housing Development Corporation (HDC), the event will take place at Central Park in Hulhumale from 4:00 pm – 6:00 pm and 8:00 pm – 10:00 pm on 15th and 16th February.

According to the ministry, this year’s Riveli Carnival will go beyond showcasing products created by disabled-persons, and promises a range of activities tailored to cater to various interests within a family-friendly environment.

Attendees can expect a diverse lineup of stage performances by persons with disabilities, exhibitions highlighting their craftsmanship, and participate in activities. Information desks will also be available, offering insights into job opportunities and government services available to individuals with disabilities.

Key objectives of the carnival include the recognition of talents among people with disabilities, expanding their avenues to showcase their abilities, and fostering economic empowerment through job information dissemination.

Riveli Carnival was first held in 2019 under the administration of former President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih. By encouraging greater participation in social activities, the event aims to create a more inclusive society where individuals of all abilities can thrive.
