STELCO Conducts Electricity Training for Women in Guraidhoo

State Electric Company Limited (STELCO) conducted a basic electricity course for women in Kaafu Guraidhoo, with 22 participants from the island receiving training in essential electrical skills. 

The course, held last weekend, was designed to equip women with practical knowledge of basic electrical tasks. Alongside the training, STELCO organised an informative session for local residents and schoolchildren.

This session focused on key topics such as electricity conservation, understanding electricity bills, and ensuring electrical safety. The event also featured a Q&A segment, which was well-received by the community.

The initiative was carried out in partnership with the Guraidhoo Women’s Development Committee, further strengthening community ties and empowering local women with valuable skills.
