In August, he announced plans to build EV charging stations in Male similar to the model followed in Korea. The government aims to build one EV charging station for every three cars to help the country lower its carbon footprint and promote eco-friendly vehicles.
He stated that these initiatives have accelerated development in the Maldives and are part of Muizzu’s campaign pledge.
Fahmy said the project aligns with President Muizzu’s pledge to promote sustainable transportation and reduce carbon emissions.
