Speaking at the event, Fahmy emphasised STELCO’s commitment to driving progress in the country. He highlighted the company’s wealth of expertise, with employees educated across diverse fields, positioning STELCO to lead impactful initiatives.

“Our goal is to serve the nation through this foundation,” Fahmy stated. “This is not just a ceremonial launch. The country should derive significant and meaningful benefits from it, not merely at a surface level but in a profound way.”

As part of the ceremony, the STELCO Research Foundation’s website was launched, providing a platform to facilitate its objectives. Additionally, STELCO introduced its latest project, the Unmanned Submersible Vehicle (USV) initiative.

The USV project involves deploying underwater drones to access locations that are otherwise unreachable. These drones will monitor and collect data, contributing to environmental protection efforts and supporting marine research.

The establishment of the STELCO Research Foundation underscores the company’s commitment to leveraging innovation for national development.
