Supporting Palestine is a Must, Says Islamic Minister

Minister of Islamic Affairs, Dr. Ahmed Zahir Ali, emphasised the responsibility to support the Palestinian people at the Palestine Forum organised by the Ministry of Islamic Affairs and Fuvahmulak City Council.

The Minister expressed that it is an obligation for the global Islamic community to voice its support and offer prayers for the Palestinian people.

He underlined that the struggle of the Palestinian population should not solely rest upon those residing in the country but should be shared and supported by the broader Islamic Ummah.

The minister further elaborated on the prolonged history of fear and suffering endured by the Palestinian population, stressing the urgency to address these ongoing concerns.

Al-Ustaz Mohamed Anil, State Minister of the Ministry of Islamic Affairs, provided additional insights during the forum, discussing the global influence of Jewish control. His discourse included references from the Qur’an, highlighting concerns regarding the actions of Jews, presenting arguments concerning their cruelty, deceitfulness, and corrupt practices.

The State Minister’s presentation called for an educational approach, advocating the study and understanding of Palestine’s significance. Stressing the importance of educating the current generation about the historical and cultural importance of Palestine.

Sheikh Ibrahim Shameem, Principal of Zikra College, contributed to the event by delving into the historical context of Palestine, emphasising the necessity of imparting this knowledge to young children.
