Task Force Detains 11 Illegal Immigrant Workers in Malé Café Raid

A joint task force of Maldives Immigration, Ministry of Homeland Security & Technology, Maldives Police Service, and Health Protection Agency (HPA) targeting illegal immigrants in the Maldives raided a café in Malé yesterday, detaining 11 undocumented foreign workers.
According to Maldives Immigration, the café operated in a manner deemed hazardous to public health. The establishment, which employed undocumented workers, was found to be in violation of both immigration and health regulations.

The operation was part of an ongoing effort by authorities to address illegal immigration in the country. Maldives Immigration confirmed the detentions in a social media post published last night.
