Tekkers Resort Cup Semi-Finals to Commence Today

The Tekkers Resort Cup Grand Semi-Finals are set to commence today, marking the final phase of this year’s tournament. 

The competition, which began on May 14, 2023, and extended over a span of four months, has showcased an array of futsal talents from across the Maldives.

The journey kicked off in Dhaalu Atoll and subsequently spanned through Raa, Baa, and Lhaviyani Atolls. Following this, the Tekkers Resort Cup made its way to Noonu Atoll and later to both South and North Kaafu Atolls.

In the spotlight for the Grand Semi-Finals are four teams: St. Regis from Dhaalu Atoll, Crossroads from South Kaafu Atoll, Velaa Maldives from Noonu Atoll, and Jumeirah Maldives from North Kaafu Atoll. 

St. Regis secured their spot in the Grand Semi-Finals by triumphing over Kandima Maldives in the Dhaalu Atoll finale. On the opposing side, Crossroads Maldives emerged victorious against Ozen Life Maadhoo, securing their own place in the Grand Semi-Finals. 

The champions of Noonu Atoll, Velaa Maldives, are slated to face off against the champions of North Kaafu Atoll, Jumeirah Maldives, in a highly anticipated match-up, as both teams clinched victory in their respective finales.

The Grand Semi-Finals, scheduled for August 31st, promise to be a showcase of remarkable athleticism and sportsmanship. The climax of the tournament, the Grand Finale, is set to take place on September 3rd, bringing this spirited competition to its grand conclusion.
