Construction of a temporary mosque in Hulhumale’ Phase II has begun, coinciding with the upcoming Ramadan season to support the daily religious practices of the local community.
The temporary mosque is designed to accommodate up to 150 individuals, featuring segregated sections for both men and women. The primary objective of this is to complete the construction of this temporary facility before the commencement of Ramadan.
Temporary mosques are commonly erected in conjunction with the holy month of Ramadan to cater to the increased number of worshippers. Additionally, the surge in the population of Hulhumale’ has amplified the demand for additional mosque facilities.
It is noteworthy that such temporary mosques, initially intended for Ramadan, often remain in operation beyond the conclusion of the holy month. An example of this is a temporary mosque established in Hulhumale’ Phase I, which continues to be actively used.
Presently, Hulhumale’ Phase II already boasts a permanent mosque, along with several other temporary mosques.
