The new facility aims to enhance immigration clearance for passengers and crew of vessels arriving in the Maldives from foreign countries, building upon the international banking service recently launched in Ihavandhippolhu. Currently, Uligan provides seaport services through two immigration officers, but the new building will expand services to include passport and visa processing, making immigration procedures more accessible and efficient for travellers.
