UWC Maldives Announces Scholarships for the IB Program

The United World Colleges (UWC) Maldives National Committee has initiated the application process for scholarships targeting individuals aged between 15 and 17, providing an opportunity to apply for the United World Colleges for the years 2024 – 2026.
Interested applicants are invited to apply for the UWC Maldives scholarship program by visiting the official website, completing the online application form, with the application window open until 15th December 2023, 23:59.

Established in 1963, the United World Colleges movement is dedicated to fostering education as a means to promote peace and a sustainable future.
At the heart of UWC’s educational approach is the International Baccalaureate (IB) program, celebrated for its academic curriculum and educational philosophy.
UWC Maldives boasts a substantial track record, having offered a unique educational opportunity to over 67 alumni who successfully completed the UWC program since its inception in 2001.
The UWC Maldives scholarship program’s selection process comprises three distinct stages, ensuring a comprehensive evaluation of all applicants. These stages include:
1. Written Application: Candidates must submit a written application, detailing their academic accomplishments, extracurricular engagements, and personal statements.
2. Selections Camp: Shortlisted candidates will receive invitations to participate in a 2-day Selections Camp in January 2024. During this camp, they will partake in team-building activities, discussions, and problem-solving exercises.
3. Interviews: Successful candidates will advance to the final stage, which involves interviews with the UWC Maldives selection committee.
