Zakat Fund Allocates MVR 1.2 Million for Medical Support in September

The Zakat Fund provided MVR 1.2 million to support the medical treatment of 131 underprivileged individuals during September, according to a report by the Zakat House.
A considerable portion of these funds was directed towards cancer patients, with MVR 364,683 allocated for their treatment.
The distribution of medical funds is as follows:
– Cancer treatment: MVR 364,683
– Brain surgery: MVR 76,329
– Kidney diseases: MVR 50,886
– Heart surgery: MVR 38,165
– Transplants: MVR 25,443
– Other diseases: MVR 658,261
Additionally, MVR 16,200 was set aside to assist individuals struggling to meet basic needs. The fund also allocated MVR 43,021.80 for scholarships and spent MVR 263,636.24 on administrative staff salaries.
