The Maldives has an online registry of child sex offenders, established by the Gender Ministry as per Article 57 of Law 12/2009 Special Measures on Perpetrators of child sexual abuse Act.
However, the website has now become, yet another poorly managed aspect of the Gender Ministry trying to protect child rights.
